ZymoGenetics

Portfolio Strategy

ZymoGenetics is a biopharmaceutical company developing a promising pipeline of product candidates.

In 2009, ZymoGenetics made the decision to narrow its research and development focus. As part of this change, all discovery research programs were discontinued, and several pre-development stage candidates were designated for outlicensing. The company believes that by focusing its resources, it provides the greatest opportunity for success in the coming years.

Besides RECOTHROM, the company is now focused on three development stage pipeline assets:  PEG-Interferon lambda, IL-21, and an IL-31 monoclonal antibody.  The company believes these three candidates have substantial medical and commercial potential.  Furthermore, ZymoGenetics has substantial ownership of commercial rights to each candidate. The company is committed to moving these candidates through clinical development to reach key value inflection points prior to entering into partnering transactions.
