ZymoGenetics 2007 Annual Report
Corporate Profile
ZymoGenetics creates novel protein drugs with the potential to significantly help patients fight their diseases. Using a product discovery engine that combines ZymoGenetics' strengths in biology, protein chemistry, molecular and cellular biology and bioinformatics, ZymoGenetics is developing a pipeline of proprietary product candidates. These span a wide array of clinical opportunities, including bleeding complications, autoimmune diseases and cancer. ZymoGenetics intends to commercialize these product candidates through internal development, collaborations with partners, and out-licensing of patents from its extensive patent portfolio.
Founded in 1981, ZymoGenetics was acquired by Novo Nordisk in 1988 and operated as a wholly owned subsidiary until late 2000, when the company regained its independence through a spinout transaction. ZymoGenetics completed an initial public offering and initiated trading on the NASDAQ Exchange on February 1, 2002. ZymoGenetics is headquartered in Seattle, Washington in the historic City Light Steam Plant building located on the shores of Lake Union.
